Since I’d already had a good experience with the beta version of Tyron in gnome-boxes, I decided to replace my MX Linux desktop with Soplos Tyson. I was able to install all my usual programs without any problems. For the Belgian EID software, however, I first had to enable the Bookworm repository, and then that installation went smoothly as well. I subsequently removed the Bookworm repository so that it wouldn’t interfere with future updates. Hopefully, we’re off to a great start for a very long partnership.

      Hi darknetmatrix, welcome aboard! 👋

Glad to hear the switch from MX Linux went smoothly, and that following Tyson through the beta gave you enough confidence to make it your daily driver — that means a lot.

Good call on removing the Bookworm repo after installing the Belgian EID software — that's exactly the right approach to avoid any version pinning or update conflicts down the line. Thanks for sharing that, it might help other Belgian users running into the same eID setup.

Here's to a long partnership indeed — welcome to the Soplos community! 🚀

Thanks for the welcome, @subdes. Are you one of the developers? The beta I ran wasn't Tyson but Tyron. But this one did indeed convince me to make Soplos my daily driver.

Yes! I'm the creator of Soplos 🙂

And thanks for the clarification on Tyron vs Tyson — glad the beta experience was enough to convince you to make Soplos your daily driver. Welcome aboard!
